Account & Data Deletion Policy

StuCollab respects your privacy and control over your personal data. Below are the full details on how account deletion works, how your data is handled, and how you can request account deletion directly from the app or web.

Method 1: Delete Directly In-App (Recommended)

If you have access to the StuCollab mobile app or web app, you can initiate account deletion instantly:

Open StuCollab and navigate to the Profile tab.
Scroll down to the Danger Zone section.
Click Delete Account.
Type DELETE to confirm.

Method 2: Web Deletion Request Form

If you no longer have access to the StuCollab app or cannot log in, submit your registered email address below to request account deletion. Our safety team will process your request within 48 hours.

30-Day Grace Period & Platform Data Purge Policy

Account Blockers Check: To protect buyers, task posters, and helpers on StuCollab, account deletion cannot be executed if you have active posted tasks, assigned helper jobs, pending payouts, open disputes, or active upcoming organized events. These must be completed or cancelled first.

Immediate Profile Deactivation: Upon deletion confirmation, your StuCollab profile is hidden immediately. Other students can no longer send you messages, view your profile, or invite you to tasks/events.

30-Day Restoration Window: Your account is kept in a soft-deleted state for 30 days. If you log back into StuCollab within 30 days, your account will be fully restored with your previous history.

Permanent Data Eradication: After 30 days, the following data is permanently and irreversibly purged from StuCollab databases & cloud storage:

Profile info (Name, Bio, Avatar photo, College, Major, Academic Grade)
Identity verification uploads (College ID card scans, Aadhaar documents)
Helper verification status & phone number links
Private chat messages & notification history
Saved payout details (Encrypted Bank Accounts & UPI IDs)

Financial Audit Compliance:Payment transaction records (e.g. Razorpay event ticket orders and escrow payment logs) are retained strictly as required for accounting compliance under India's IT Act & Financial regulations.
