How StuCollab Works

Your complete guide to Events, Quick Help, Tasks, Payments, and Safety โ€” everything you need to know before getting started.

๐ŸŽ‰ Events

Main Product

Discover, Organize & Attend College Events

For Attendees

1

Discover Events

Browse college fests, workshops, hackathons, cultural nights, and meetups. Filter by category, date, and location to find what interests you.

2

Register & Get Your Ticket

For free events, register instantly โ€” your QR-code digital ticket is generated immediately. For paid events, pay securely via Razorpay and your QR ticket is generated after payment confirmation.

3

Check-in at the Venue

Show your QR ticket at the door. Organizers scan it for instant, contactless check-in. No paper tickets, no registration desk chaos.

4

Earn Your Certificate

After the event, checked-in attendees can receive a verifiable digital certificate from the organizer โ€” great for your CV and LinkedIn.

For Organizers

1

Create Your Event

Choose a template (Workshop, Hackathon, Cultural, etc.), fill in details, and set your venue using the integrated Google Maps โ€” search by name with Places Autocomplete or pin the exact location on the map. Add a banner, schedule, speakers, and sponsors.

2

Set Ticketing

Choose Free or Paid. For paid events, set your ticket price and provide your UPI ID โ€” attendee payments go directly to your UPI. You can also set Early Bird pricing with a deadline.

3

Fest Mode (Multi-Event)

Organizing a fest? Turn on Fest Mode to add sub-events (Dance, Quiz, Hackathon, etc.) under one umbrella. Optionally set a Fest Pass price that covers all sub-events.

4

Manage & Check-in

Use built-in team chat, role assignments, and the QR scanner at the door. Track registrations, manage your crew, and issue certificates post-event.

๐Ÿ’ณ How Event Payments Work

Free events: Direct registration โ†’ QR ticket instantly.
Paid events: Attendee pays via Razorpay โ†’ Payment verified โ†’ QR ticket generated. Money goes to organizer's UPI ID.
Fest Pass: One payment for all sub-events. Individual sub-events can also be free.
Refunds: The organizer is responsible for refund processing if an event is cancelled. Our admin team facilitates within 5โ€“7 business days.
What NOT To Do
  • Don't attend events at private residences or unknown locations
  • Don't share your personal phone number, home address, or private details with unknown organizers before attending
  • Don't pay for tickets outside StuCollab (no direct bank transfers to organizers)
  • Don't ignore misleading or suspicious event listings โ€” report them immediately
Platform Disclaimer: StuCollab is a technology platform for discovering and organizing events. The organizer is solely responsible for event execution, venue safety, and refund processing. Always attend events at verified, public venues only.

โšก Quick Help

Instant Campus Deliveries & Errands

1

Post Your Request

Describe exactly what you need (e.g., '2 Nescafe Cold Coffees from Krishna Canteen'). Set the approximate item cost and a Buddy's Effort Reward (min โ‚น40). Pin a safe, public meetup spot on the integrated Google Map โ€” search by name or drag the marker to your exact location.

2

Buddy Spots You on the Earning Radar ๐Ÿ”ญ

Your request appears as a live pin on every nearby helper's Earning Radar โ€” a real-time map with animated radar pulse that shows all active Quick Help requests. Helpers can filter by distance (up to 2.5 km), minimum reward, and category. They see your estimated walking ETA and distance, then hit 'Grab It' to send an instant proposal.

3

Pay the Shop Directly via UPI

Your buddy goes to the shop, sends you a photo of the items on the counter along with the shop's QR code. You scan the shop's Merchant QR and pay the shop directly via UPI. Always verify the shop name on your UPI app before paying!

4

Track & Navigate to Meetup

Both you and your buddy can see the meetup pin on the map with live distance tracking. Tap 'Get Directions' to open Google Maps for turn-by-turn navigation to the meetup spot.

5

PIN Handshake & Delivery

Buddy brings the items to your meetup spot. Check the items first, then give them the 4-digit Security PIN (auto-generated when you posted). This PIN confirms delivery and instantly releases the Buddy's Effort Reward.

6

Rate Your Buddy

Leave a review. Every delivery builds the buddy's Trusted Buddy reputation score.

๐Ÿ’ณ Quick Help Payment Breakdown

Buddy's Effort Reward (โ‚น40+): This is HELD in StuCollab escrow. Released only when you share the PIN after receiving items. A โ‚น5 platform fee is deducted from the buddy's earnings.
Item Cost (up to โ‚น500): NOT escrowed. You pay the shop directly via UPI by scanning their Merchant QR code. The buddy sends you a photo of items + shop QR.
Safety Limit: Item cost is capped at โ‚น500 per request. For larger orders, use the Standard Task flow with full escrow protection.
What NOT To Do
  • Don't pay the buddy directly for items โ€” always pay the Shop's Merchant QR only
  • Don't share the PIN before checking your items โ€” PIN = payment release
  • Don't accept requests involving restricted items, alcohol, or anything illegal
  • Don't enter private rooms or hostel rooms for delivery โ€” always meet in public spots
  • Don't travel long distances for Quick Help โ€” it's designed for nearby errands only
  • Don't accept homemade food from strangers โ€” only purchase from established shops
๐Ÿ’ฐ Helper Earnings: Quick Help runs typically pay โ‚น35โ€“โ‚น145 per delivery (after โ‚น5 platform fee). Complete 3โ€“5 runs a day and earn โ‚น100โ€“โ‚น700+ daily between classes.
๐Ÿ”ญ Earning Radar Features: Live map with animated radar pulse showing all nearby requests โ€ข Real-time Supabase push notifications for new requests โ€ข Distance and walking ETA calculations โ€ข Map/List/Split view modes โ€ข Category and distance filters โ€ข One-tap Google Maps directions โ€ข Streak and earnings tracking โ€ข "Grab It" instant proposal system.

๐Ÿ“ฆ Physical Tasks

Printed Notes, Handwritten Records, Models & Handovers

1

Post a Physical Task

Describe the physical work โ€” handwritten notes, spiral-bound records, project models, printed documents. Set budget (min โ‚น50), deadline, and pin a safe meetup location on the integrated Google Map. You can search for locations by name, use the 'Locate Me' button, or drag the marker to pin your exact spot. A privacy warning reminds you to always pin a public location, never your private home.

2

Helpers Message & You Hire

Helpers will reach out via the task's built-in chat. Discuss requirements, negotiate if needed, then hire your chosen helper and pay the agreed budget via Razorpay. Money goes into StuCollab escrow. A unique 4-digit Handover Code is auto-generated for you.

3

Helper Prepares & Uploads Proof Photos

The helper completes the physical work and uploads 3 proof photos โ€” Start Page, Middle Page, and Last Page โ€” so you can verify the work quality before the in-person meetup. Photos are intelligently compressed for fast upload.

4

Navigate & Meet at the Pinned Location

Both you and the helper see the meetup pin on an interactive map with live distance tracking. Tap 'Get Directions' to open Google Maps for turn-by-turn navigation. The distance dynamically updates as you move closer. Always meet at public spots โ€” Canteen, Library, Gate, Lobby.

5

Share the Handover Code

Once you've inspected and verified the physical item in-person, share your 4-digit Handover Code with the helper. The helper enters this code on the app โ€” this confirms delivery and releases escrow payment to the helper instantly.

6

Rate Your Buddy

Review the helper. Physical task ratings contribute to the same unified trust score across all StuCollab products.

What NOT To Do
  • Don't share the Handover Code before inspecting and receiving the physical item
  • Don't invite strangers into your private home or hostel room โ€” meet at public spots only
  • Don't use your private home/hostel as the meetup pin โ€” always pin a public location (Gate, Canteen, Library)
  • Don't ask helpers to complete your lab records, internship diaries, or thesis for you to submit as your own
  • Don't physically deliver completed exam papers or graded assessment answers
  • Don't skip the 3 proof photos โ€” they protect both you and the helper

๐Ÿ’ป Digital Tasks

PPTs, Formatting, Research & More โ€” Delivered Online

1

Post Your Digital Task

Describe what you need โ€” PPT design, data formatting, research compilation, bibliography, proofreading, or technical drafting. Set your budget (min โ‚น50) and deadline. Attach reference files if needed.

2

Helpers Message You

Interested student helpers will message you on the task page. Chat with them, discuss requirements, and negotiate the final budget if needed.

3

Hire & Pay via Razorpay (Escrow)

Choose a helper and click 'Hire'. You'll pay the agreed budget via Razorpay. This money is held securely in StuCollab escrow โ€” the helper does NOT receive it yet.

4

Helper Delivers Files

The helper completes the work and uploads the deliverable files on the task page. You'll be notified when the submission is ready.

5

Review & Approve (24h Window)

Review the delivered work. Click 'Approve' to release escrow payment to the helper. Not satisfied? Raise a dispute for admin review. If you take no action, payment auto-releases after 24 hours.

6

Rate Your Buddy

Leave a review after approval. Every completed task builds the helper's unified trust score.

Examples of Digital Tasks: PPT design from your notes, Excel data formatting, resume/CV design, research paper formatting, bibliography compilation, grammar correction, technical diagrams (CAD, circuit, data viz), poster design, Canva designs, PDF to Word conversion.
What NOT To Do
  • Don't request someone to write your assignment or report for submission as your own work
  • Don't ask someone to take your online exam, quiz, or viva on your behalf
  • Don't request content designed to bypass plagiarism checkers
  • Don't share your university login credentials with helpers
  • Don't skip the review window โ€” check the work before the 24h auto-approve kicks in

๐Ÿ’ณ Payment Flows

How Money Works on StuCollab

๐Ÿ“‹ Tasks (Digital & Physical)

Task Posted

Helpers Bid
Helpers message, discuss, and negotiate the final amount.

Poster hires a helper โ†’ pays via Razorpay โ†’ money held in escrow.

Approve โ†’ Payout
Poster approves โ†’ escrow releases to helper. Auto-approves after 24h.

โœ“ What if I'm not satisfied?

Click "Raise a Dispute" instead of approving. Our Admin team reviews chat logs, delivered files, and evidence from both parties. A fair decision is made on the escrow release. For digital tasks, you have a 24-hour review windowbefore auto-release. Don't ignore it!

โšก Quick Help (Different!)

Quick Help has a split payment modelโ€” it's different from standard tasks:

Buddy's Effort Reward โ†’ ESCROWED
Min โ‚น40. Held by StuCollab. Released only when poster shares the 4-digit PIN after receiving items. โ‚น5 platform fee deducted from buddy's payout.
Item Cost โ†’ PAY SHOP DIRECTLY
Up to โ‚น500. The buddy goes to the shop, sends you a photo of items + the shop's Merchant QR code. You scan the QR and pay the shop directly via UPI. Always verify the shop name on your UPI app!

๐ŸŽ‰ Events

Free Events
Register instantly. No payment needed. QR-code digital ticket generated immediately.
Paid Events
Pay the ticket price via Razorpay. Payment goes to the organizer's UPI ID. Your QR ticket is generated after payment verification. StuCollab does NOT hold event payments in escrow.
Fest Pass
One payment covers access to all sub-events under the fest. Individual sub-events may also be free. The fest pass saves money vs. buying individual tickets.
Early Bird Pricing
Organizers can set a discounted price before a specific deadline. Register early to save!
Cancellation & Refunds
The organizer is responsible for refund processing. Our admin team facilitates refunds within 5โ€“7 business days upon cancellation.
What NOT To Do
  • Don't pay for event tickets outside StuCollab โ€” always use the in-app payment
  • Don't approve task work without actually reviewing it โ€” the 24h auto-release is final
  • Don't share your UPI PIN or banking passwords with anyone on the platform
  • Don't pay Quick Help buddies directly for item costs โ€” always use the Shop's Merchant QR

๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Safety & What NOT To Do

Essential Guidelines to Protect Yourself

Escrow Payments
For tasks and Quick Help, your money is held in a secure StuCollab Escrow account. It's only released after you confirm delivery (via PIN for physical/quick, or Approve button for digital). Never release payment until you're satisfied.
Public Meetups Only
For physical handovers and Quick Help, always meet at known, well-lit, public locations โ€” canteens, libraries, building lobbies, campus gates. Never invite strangers into your private home or hostel room. Never use your private address as a meetup pin.
PIN & Code Protection
Every physical handover uses a unique 4-digit code. For Quick Help, share the PIN only AFTER checking items. For Physical Tasks, share the Handover Code only AFTER inspecting the delivered work. The code = payment trigger โ€” treat it like a password.
Visual Proof System
For Quick Help, the buddy sends you a photo of items + shop QR before you pay. For Physical Tasks, the helper uploads 3 proof photos (Start, Middle, Last page). These protect both parties from disputes.
Event Safety
Only attend events at verified, public venues (campuses, auditoriums). Use StuCollab messaging for event queries โ€” never share personal phone numbers or home addresses before attending. Report unsafe or misleading events immediately.
Reputation System
Every interaction builds a unified trust score. Low-rated users lose platform privileges. Consistent bad behavior results in permanent bans. Always rate honestly to protect the community.

  • Never scan personal QR codes for Quick Help โ€” only shop Merchant QRs

๐Ÿ“š Academic Integrity

What We Allow & What We Strictly Prohibit

StuCollab is an academic support platform, not an academic cheating service. We take intellectual honesty seriously and enforce strict policies. Every task poster must agree to the Academic Integrity checkbox before posting.

โŒ Strictly Prohibited

  • Completing lab records, internship diaries, or thesis chapters for others to submit
  • Taking exams, tests, or quizzes on behalf of another student (online or offline)
  • Providing live answers during graded assessments or viva voce
  • Creating content specifically designed to bypass plagiarism checkers
  • Recording or sharing exam questions from proctored assessments

โœ… Allowed & Encouraged
