Safety & Trust Hub
How we protect our student community every day.
Secure Escrow Payments
Never worry about getting scammed. When you hire a helper, your payment is held in a secure **StuCollab Escrow** account. The money is only released to the helper AFTER you confirm that you have received the work.
✓ Helper is motivated to deliver quality work.
✓ Your money remains yours until you are satisfied.
Physical Handover Security
For physical items like records or notes, we use a unique **4-digit Security PIN** and a **Safe Location Pin.**
- The Security PIN: Only give the PIN once you've received your item in-hand.
- Campus Spots: Use our "Quick Pin" feature to select safe, known points like the Canteen or Library.
- Non-Campus Safety: If you are meeting outside a campus (e.g., at home or in the city), **ONLY** meet in busy, well-lit, and public spaces such as station entrances, cafes, or public parks.
🚨 Safety Policy: Never invite a stranger into your private home or hostel room. Always set your "Meetup Pin" in a public area.
Academic Integrity Policy
StuCollab is an academic support platform, not an academic cheating service. We take intellectual honesty seriously. By using StuCollab, you agree to the following:
- Writing assignments, projects, or reports for submission as another person's work
- Completing lab records, internship diaries, or thesis chapters for others to submit
- Taking exams, tests, or quizzes on behalf of another student
- Providing live answers during graded assessments or vivas
- Creating content specifically designed to bypass plagiarism checkers
- Tutoring, explaining concepts, and sharing study notes
- Formatting, typesetting, printing, or binding already-written work
- Research assistance, reference gathering, and bibliography compilation
- Technical drafting support (CAD, circuit diagrams, data visualization)
- Presentation design (PPT layouts) based on student-provided content
- Proofreading and grammar correction
⚠️ StuCollab reserves the right to permanently ban users who violate academic integrity. Repeat offenders will be reported to their institutions.
Event Safety
StuCollab Events is a technology platform for organizing and discovering student events. We empower organizers with tools — but the organizer is solely responsible for event execution and safety.
Quick Help & Delivery Safety
Quick Help connects students for fast physical errands — pickups, deliveries, and fetch-and-carry tasks. Safety is paramount for both parties.
- PIN Verification: Always verify the 4-digit Handshake PIN before handing over any item. This is your proof of delivery.
- Public Handoff Only: Meet at well-lit, public locations — canteens, libraries, building lobbies. Never enter private rooms for delivery.
- Only Accept Nearby Requests: Don't travel long distances for Quick Help. It's designed for errands within your vicinity (campus, neighborhood).
- Food Safety: For food delivery requests, only purchase from established eateries. Do not accept homemade food from strangers.
- Report Suspicious Requests: Requests involving restricted items, illegal substances, or anything that makes you uncomfortable should be reported immediately.
Issue Resolution
If work is not delivered or doesn't meet requirements, you can "Raise a Dispute." Our Admin team reviews chat logs and evidence to make a fair decision on the escrow release. For events, organizers are responsible for refund processing upon cancellation — our admin team facilitates refunds within 5-7 business days.
Grievance Redressal (India)
In accordance with the **Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021**, StuCollab has appointed a Grievance Officer to handle user complaints.
